About us

ByFilia was founded in 2024 in Västerås, by us – Anna & Sara – two best friends with a common vision: to create wide and stretchy headbands that are both comfortable and stylish. We started sewing the headbands ourselves on our beloved grandmothers’ sewing machines and then shared them with our loved ones who wanted their own.

When more people started asking for our headbands, we realized it was time to take the next step. Today, we partner with a family-owned factory in Portugal to produce our collections in an ethical and sustainable way, with the same quality and love as when we sewed the headbands ourselves.

The name ByFilia comes from the Latin word for "daughter" and is a tribute to our families and the familial warmth we want to convey.
